Vegan Meatballs with Arrabbiata Sauce

You don’t have to be vegan to enjoy vegan meals! These dairy-free, egg-free meatballs are packed with traditional Italian flavor, and the kick from the best arrabbiata tomato sauce only makes it that much tastier! Enjoy these delicious vegan meatballs by themselves, or pair them with spaghetti, linguine, or another pasta of your choice.

 
 

Ingredients

  • 16 oz plant-based meat

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs

  • ½ cup onion, diced

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp italian season

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp coriander powder

  • 4 cloves garlic minced

  • 1 jar The Jersey Tomato Co. Arrabbiata Sauce

Directions 

  1. In a medium ball, mix plant-based meat, breadcrumbs, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning and salt in a bowl. Stir with a large wooden spoon until well combined. 

  2. Roll into balls (about a heaping tablespoon each) and place on a parchment-lined or greased baking sheet.

  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat in a large pan. Add meatballs and cook, turning often and being careful not to burn, until browned on all sides, about 5 to 7 minutes.

  4. While the meatballs are baking, prepare pasta according to package instructions. Warm The Jersey Tomato Co. Arrabbiata Sauce in a small pan. 

  5. When the meatballs are done cooking, carefully place them aside. Add your desired pasta or you can eat them alone. Pour Jersey Tomato Co. Arrabbiata Sauce all over.
